Jeju also offers a very flexible entry/departure policy, which allows visitors to stay without a visa for up to 30 days when visitors enter Jeju directly from abroad not through Incheon or Gimpo or Busan airports. If visitors transfer at Incheon or Gimpo or Busan, they need a visa clearance according to their nationalities.

Those traveling from China and connecting at Incheon or other cities in Korea must obtain a valid visa for legitimate entry into Korea. If you are arriving directly on Jeju Island, no visa is required. Otherwise, any foreign visitors wishing to enter the Republic of Korea not jeju Island must have a valid passport and obtain a Korean visa before coming, unless you are a citizen of one of the 99 countries who are permitted to temporarily enter without a visa according to the visa-exemption agreements (Table 1), or in accordance with the Principles of Reciprocity or National Interest (Table 2).
